Soulwater Productions Owner/Operator
Indonesia
After 10 years of teaching diving, I found a new outlet for my love of the underwater world by capturing my surroundings in imagery, allowing me to share my passion with others. I have worked all over the world, from the Cayman Islands, to Fiji, Australia and Palau, and as a self taught professional cinematographer since 2011, founded Soulwater Productions in 2015.
I finally found my niche in Indonesia, becoming the number one creator of diving promotional videos for a variety of operations, including high-end liveaboards, also supplying footage to CNN, Discovery and National Geographic.
My latest diving passion is CCR, recently reaching the pinnacle of technical diving with a certification to 100m. Silent diving fits perfectly with underwater filming, allowing me to get up close and personal with hard-to-capture marine life.
My most enduring passion is the desire to use imagery to preserve our oceans, specifically, the fight to save sharks and rays in my adopted home of Indonesia. My first feature length documentary addresses a global issue at a local level in Tanjung Luar, Indonesia’s biggest fish market, where sharks are a targeted species. The film outlines many aspects of the problems faced and offers potential solutions. We need to stop shark fishing at Tanjung Luar before it is too late for sharks in Indonesia.
